Brushes for conveyor belt cleaning

Brush cleaner designs, sizing parameters, verifiable calculations and a technical request form — no invented products or prices.

Base scheme: belt diagonal, brush roller and contact zone.

Start from the task

A new cleaning system

Belt width and type, material — what is known and what to decide for a brush cleaning system.

Replacing a brush roller

The roller is worn: take measurements and describe conditions so the new one fits without rework.

Roller or sectional

Compare the two designs on service and replacement, without assuming false compatibility.

Check the speeds

Estimate brush peripheral speed, belt speed from the pulley and the relative speed at contact.

Five tools

A selection assistant and four calculations with explicit formulas. Everything runs locally in the browser; input is sent nowhere.

Catalog of designs

Six brush cleaning families: purpose, variants, and the dimensions a request needs.

How the unit works

A brush cleaner touches the belt surface in a small contact zone; the result depends on geometry, filament and kinematics — not on a cleaner brand.

What to measure on the unit

  • Brush roller outside diameter and core diameter.
  • Working brush length along the axis and total roller length with bearings.
  • Clearance between filament and belt in the working position.
  • Roller speed and rotation direction relative to the belt.
Mounting context: the cleaner at the pulley, the belt between them.

Operating scenarios

Dry bulk, wet and sticky materials, chevron belts, roller replacement — what to check in each case.
