Cleaning a chevron belt

Chevron and other patterned belts carry their relief along the whole route. Cleaning must work not only on the rib tops but in the grooves between them.

Chevron and other patterned belts carry their relief along the whole route. Cleaning must work not only on the rib tops but in the grooves between them.

What the relief changes

The whole surface, grooves included, becomes the working surface for cleaning. The bristle must reach the bottom of the relief: too short cleans only the tops, too soft does not pass into narrow grooves. Rib pitch and height decide which bristle geometry is possible at all.

Data for the decision

Take the actual profile from the belt: type, rib pitch and height, wear degree. The old belt datasheet is a start, not a substitute for measurement. This data enters the request together with the belt width and material conditions; the brush manufacturer confirms compatibility with the specific profile.
